Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Government intends to sole-source the purchase order for repair/refurbishment of the Manchester VAMC s CAT 924G Front End Loader to Milton CAT. This sole-source action was only contemplated after a Sources Sought Notice posted to FBO.gov received zero responses, and market research conducted by the Contracting Officer and facility representative found no alternative sources. The services and supplies to be provided involve CAT-certified technicians and CAT-OEM parts. Caterpillar has indicated the only authorized source for these items in the region is Milton CAT. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
