- Washington Headquarters Services (WHS)/Acquisition Directorate (AD) Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) (RFI and Industry Day for Service Pistols) A. Description. The PFPA mission is to provide force protection, security, and law enforcement operations as required for the people, facilities, infrastructure, and other resources at the Pentagon Reservation and for DoD activities and DoD-occupied facilities not under the jurisdiction of a Military Department within the National Capital Region (NCR). The Pentagon Police Division (PPD) on behalf of PFPA is assessing the firearm industry's capability when developing future requirements. Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) is interested in various.40 caliber and 9mm handguns in subcompact, compact, and full size frames. This announcement constitutes an official Request for Information (RFI). This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. The request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, at this time WHS and PFPA is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offeors to monitor FedBizOpps for additional information pertaining to this requirement. B. Information Requested: Areas of Interest Caliber 1..40 Caliber 2. 9mm Frame 1. Full Size 2. Compact 3. Subcompact Vendors (manufactures only) are requested to submit a corporate capabilities statement. The corporate capabilities statement is limited to five (5) pages and should include the following: 1. Company name, address and phone number 2. Primary Point of Contact name, phone and email 3. Socio-Economic status 4. Associated NAICS codes 5. Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) Code 6. If respondent has a government contract vehicle such as a Federal Supply Schedule or other government-wide use contract 7. A description of service pistols your company provides (i.e. Magazine Capacity, Product Data Sheets, exploded view drawing, etc.) 8. An image of the product to be showcase (preferably a picture). C. Industry Day. Based on the responses received PFPA will host two Industry days. There is a 10 vendor limit for attendance to this event. Priority for registration will be given to Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) that can demonstrate technological innovations. PFPA will host a two (2) day event on October 11-12, 2018. • Day 1: On Thursday, October 11th PFPA will host a service pistol showcase from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM in the Pentagon Library and Conference Center. • Day 2: On Friday, October 12th vendors and PFPA personnel will visit the PFPA firing range and shoot selected pistols to observe functionality. PFPA will provide frangible ammunition. Location: 9000 Defense Pentagon, Washington, D.C. 20301 D. Questions. Questions regarding this RFI should be submitted in writing via e-mail. Verbal questions will not be accepted in response to this RFI and questions shall not contain proprietary, sensitive or classified information. E. Responses Due.
