- Statement of Need Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center 3900 Woodland Ave Philadelphia, PA 19104 Title of Project Eyecon Pill Counter, Model 9420 Scope of Work the vendor shall provide the resources necessary to complete the requirements below Type of contract: Firm-fixed General Requirement: The CMC VAMC Outpatient pharmacy has a need for 2 additional Eyecons in Outpatient narcotics vault to facilitate the volume of prescription being filled. The Eyecon will connect to Scriptpro Robotic systems, through Scriptpro interface. Due to the nature of the medications (Controlled substance) the dispensed pills have to be double-counted. As required, the Eyecon provides a counting accuracy of approximately 99% so the pharmacists who rely on these machines to verify the accuracy of scripts filled, are assured that the dispensed medication is correct. The volume of work demands the purchase of additional Eyecon pill counters so that the narcotic pharmacists can work simultaneous in different areas of the vault to fill prescriptions. This pill counter must integrate into existing Scriptpro interfaces. Required Specification: The pill counter equipment must be/have; 1. Compatible with Scriptpro interface to work with our existing Scriptpro system 2. Able to connect directly to Scriptpro equipment as a serial device 3. Able to count poured pills in 200ms providing an on-screen update at least 5 times per second 4. Able to recognize broken tablets and foreign matter on the tray and distinguish between usable items and non-usable items 5. Easy to clean, with no hidden compartments 6. Must have separate trays for specific medication to prevent cross-contamination 7. Must include the following features: a. Able to count filled prescriptions with 99% accuracy b. Serve as a verification for the double count process 8. Facilitate the physical inventory count 9. Delivery need to be made to the Corporate Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA Delivery: 1. Contractor shall provide delivery of the Philips X8-2T transesophageal (TEE) echo transducer/probe to the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center, Attn: Jill A Neill, 3900 Woodland Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19104. 2.
