- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, OR BIDS, NOR IS THIS A SYNOPSIS OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION UNDER FAR SUBPART 5.2. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. ____________________________________________________________________________________________Market research is being conducted to determine the availability of potential businesses with capabilities to provide services under the following stipulations: Certified SDVOSB/VOSB Anticipated NAICS code is 485991 Special needs transportation, along with medical care. FSC/PSC: V212 GENERAL INFORMATION Services to be contracted to provide transportation via secure transportation for Veterans eligible to or from a VA Medical facility, inside or outside the local area. This transportation is required for those Veterans who, due to mental deficiency, may present a risk to themselves or others. The Alaska VA Healthcare System in Anchorage, Alaska, requires contracted Secure Escort/Transportation Services. This includes the main clinic, at 1201 North Muldoon, Anchorage AK, Domiciliary, 3001 C Street, Anchorage AK, and the Joint Venture Hospital, JBER, 5955 Zeamer Ave., JBER, AK. Contractor shall provide all vehicles, personnel, and equipment required to pro vide Secure Escort service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (24/7), includ ing weekends and holidays, to beneficiaries of Alaska VA Healthcare System in accordance with the terms, schedule and refer enced materials of this agreement. Locations are likely From Alaska VA Healthcare System/Joint Venture Hospital (JBER) to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, Fairbanks, AK, Bartlett Hospital, Juneau, AK Drivers and attendants alike must be trained and familiar with fire and safety equipment (fire extinguishers etc.) and have successfully completed advanced First Aid courses and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with the American Red Cross or equivalent. All costs associated with this training shall be the responsibility of the contractor. All personnel performing under this contract shall be familiar working with persons who are disabled, elderly and / or handicapped. Please note, responses will be shared within the Government and project team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence. Vendor response must show clear and convincing evidence of the following: Name of Business; Point of Contact Name, Phone Number, and E-Mail Address; CAGE Code and DUNS Number to show proof of registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov; BRIEF DESCRIPTION of capabilities in relation to this sources-sought ONLY; Explain how you as an SDVOSB/VOSB will meet the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirement of performing at least 50% of the contractual work.
