Description
SLAC seeks vendors that can provide 1 Each of Yb: YAG Amplifier with the following minimum Specifications: a) The parameters of the high power Yb:YAG amplifier are specified below. • Pulse repetition rate frequency 0.033-1 MHz variable (nominal 0.1 MHz) • Average optical output power of >400 W • Pulse duration ≈1-2 ps • Pulse energy >12 mJ at 0.033 MHz or >4 mJ at 0.1 MHz or >0.4 mJ at 1 MHz • Pulse energy stability <0.5% over 24 hours • Center wavelength out of laser amplifier 1030±1 nm • Spectral bandwidth with no ripples, no pedestals • Time-bandwidth product <0.5 (1 ps correspond to about 1.8 nm at FWHM) • Collimated free space output, M2 <1.3 • Polarization extinction ratio >30 dB, fixed in direction • Ellipticity >0.85 • Pulses have no pedestals, no background, satellite pulses (third order) <20% • No ASE background • Diode lifetime >1 year at 24/7 operation. b) The high power Yb:YAG amplifier is seeded with 0.2 nJ compressed pulses from a 1030 nm, 65.0000 MHz oscillator (0.2 nJ in 1029-1031 nm bandwidth) c) The Yb:YAG system includes a lockable pulse picker, and a stretcher compressor system to support amplification up to 1.5 kW (15 mJ @ 0.1 MHz) d) The high power Yb:YAG amplifier includes diagnostics (CCD cameras) for optical alignment of the amplifier stages; additional motorized mirrors to remotely align the amplifier stages; two motorized re-collimation telescopes for the amplified beam; a spatial filter unit to ensure M2 <1.3 at the output (if necessary, optional), and two sets of beam stabilization systems. e) Customer support required with a response time of <24 h. If this is not the case: proper training of SLAC personnel is required and additional critical spare parts at SLAC. f) On-site installation of laser amplifier. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. VENDORS INTERESTED IN BEING CONSIDERED AS A POTENTIAL SOURCE SHOULD IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS AN "INTERESTED PARTY" VIA THE FBO PORTAL. DO NOT CONTACT THE SUBCONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR.
