Description

This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement for market research in support of Naval Base San Diego, Balboa Central Plant Chilled Water system in utilizing steam turbine driven centrifugal chillers serving Bureau of Medicine (BUMED) Naval Medical Center San Diego (NNMCSD) Balboa Hospital and Campus. The information will be utilized for preliminary planning purposes. The information received will be utilized within the Navy to facilitate the decision making processes and will not be disclosed outside the agency. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the analysis. All data received in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis that is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Since this is a Sources Sought announcement, no debrief, evaluation letters, and/or results will be issued to the participants. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be used to make appropriate acquisition decisions. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a proposal package or solicitation. There is no proposal package or solicitation at this time. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The required equipment is for steam turbine driven centrifugal chillers at nominal rating of 1300 tons with chilled water flow standard (Hospital) operating conditions (EWT 64Ûœ °F, LWT 46 °F) at 1730 GPM. The estimated value of the of the for two (2) steam turbine driven centrifugal chillers is $2,600,000 through February 15, 2019. Interested sources are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis by completing Attachment 1 - Company Information and Attachment 2 - Technical Information. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis are due no later than August 31, 2018., Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
