Description
Device must be NSA Listed for physical destruction of Hard Disk Drive media after degaussing. Device must have passed NSA Evaluation for Hard Disk Drive Destruction. Per the Evaluated Products List for Hard Drive Destruction Devices, "use of these machines is only authorized in conjunction with degaussing for routine magnetic hard disk drive sanitization or by themselves only in extreme emergency situations. Device must be listed in the National Security Agency (NSA) Evaluated Products List-Hard Disk Destruction Devices (EPL-HDD Destruction) as meeting these requirements. Device must have an NSA Evaluated throughput of 1,315 HDD/hour. Device must accept HDD media up to 1.03 inch high by 4.3 inches wide, without disassembly. No special adapters required. Device must accept HDD is server sleds or caddies up to 1.03 inch high by 4.3 inches wide, without disassembly. Device must NOT be a shredder that requires sharpening and replacement of shredder parts. Instead, the device must utilize a powerful deformation mechanism that resists chipping, dulling and does not require sharpening. Device must have jam recovery capability such as a reverse feature. Device must be able to be connected to a conveyor belt degausser for automatic transfer between degausser and destruction device. Device must have two accessory outlets, thereby providing power and operation to a connected degaugsser and an out-feed conveyor belt providing seamless degaussing and destruction. Device must have safety features such as: Safety rated tamper resistance interlocks In-feed and out-feed distances at a length making it impossible to reach, keeping operator's extremities from the destruction process Industrial grade emergency stop control Device must have the following user controls: Start/Stop Push Buttons Operating Indicator Forward/Off/Momentary Reverse Selector Emergency Stop Hour Meter HDD Size Indicator For ease of movement and to save on storage expenses, divice must: Have a footprint no greater than 21" W x 40" D x 36.6" H Have heavy duty castor wheels Weigh no more than 734 pounds
