- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice for the following procurement to Replace Pneumatic Tube System for the 2B Lab area at the James J. Peters Bronx VAMC, located at 130 W. Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468. The RFP Solicitation for this procurement will be posted on or around Wednesday, August 22, 2018. The construction range is between $25,000-$100, 000.00. The NAICS code classification to be used is 236220, with a Size Standard of $36.5 Million. Proposals will be due on Friday, September 7, 2018. Proposals must be emailed directly to the Contracting Officer, Patricia Cordero, at patricia.cordero@va.gov. A site visit will be conducted, with the date/time provided in the official RFP. Below is a detailed Scope of Work required for this project: Background Engineering Service (138) is committed and proudly serves the VA, Bronx Campus, providing the best possible environment for health care to veterans and the highest standards of service to customers. We do this by improving and maintaining our physical structures and by providing the equipment, supplies, testing and preventive maintenance necessary to support excellence in health care. We are in need of replacing our Pneumatic Tube System as it is past its life expectancy and needs to urgently be replaced, due to parts becoming no longer available. The procurement described herein is required to achieve the objectives as follow: Objectives The purpose of this solicitation is to replace the Pneumatic Tube System in Building 100 Place of Performance Department of Veterans Affairs James J Peters VA Medical Center 130 West Kingsbridge Rd. Bronx NY 10468 Project Points of Contact Contract Specialist, Patricia Cordero COR Richard Beutel Phone 718 584-9000 Ext. 6609 Scope of Work: Contractor to furnish and install new Autovac power units by replacing the existing units in kind, by first removing the old units send/receive station terminals and diverter unit to in order to upgrade the existing system/ equipment originally installed circa 1995. Equipment and locations required for the three system upgrades shall be as shown on the attached drawings: Drawing AE602077 Laboratory (to/from) ICU (Blue) Laboratory (to/from) ICU (Green) Drawing A1100-S Laboratory (to/from) E.R. Drawing A1100-S Laboratory (to/from) Hematology Contractor to provide the following parts and equipment to support the requirements of the existing pneumatic tube system by replacing the system in kind, in order to maintain critical operations of the units that support various parts of the Medical Center; 1. Three (3) new 120 v Kelly Autovac power units 2. Three (3) new 4 O.D. Soft Delivery 619 central station send/receive terminals 3. One (1) new 4 O.D. 4-Way in-line Diverter Unit 4. Four (4) new 4 O.D. Soft Delivery 619 sub-station send/receive terminals Work is to be performed during off-peak work hours, Mon-Fri after 4pm The following installation-related work items are excluded and shall NOT be the responsibility of the contractor and will be completed by VA personnel: 1. Demolition, framing, finishing walls or ceilings 2. Painting of enclosures, tables, shelves or other fixtures 3. Installation of electrical wiring 4. Removal or rerouting of conflicting equipment. Note: This Pre-Solicitation Notice serves as notification of a future solicitation. Interested contractors are not required to respond to this notice.
