Description

Solicitation Document Fall Arrest System Specification Fall Arrest System Example Fall Arrest System Statement of Work Hill AFB performs depot level maintenance on the various types of aircraft. A-10 aircraft are prepped and painted in B220 in paint bay 5. These activities require painters to access all areas of the A-10 aircraft, including areas at elevated heights. To be compliant with AFOSH and OSHA standards, proper fall protection systems must be in place in order to protect workers who are required to work at elevated heights. Employees who must work at these elevated heights find it extremely difficult and inefficient to maintain 100% fall protection coverage by using the existing system of multiple stands which do not cover all fall locations at the same time. Installing a new overhead fall arrest systems (FAS) will allow aircraft painters to easily maintain OHSA approved 100% fall protection coverage, and improve worker safety as well as improve worker efficiency.
