Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Sebia, Inc. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Seattle VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. Competition Requirements and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Sebia, Inc. 1705 Corporate Dr. Suite 400 Norcross, GA 30093 This acquisition is being processed as a Single Source requirement IAW FAR 13-106.1(b)(1). The Seattle VAMC requires the purchase of a new Sebia Electrophoresis Analyzer & reagents used to test specific proteins in the blood to help identify certain diseases. The Seattle VAMC Chemistry Lab already uses reagents from Sebia. Sebia is the developer, manufacturer, and sole source provider of Hydrasys instrumentation with Phoresis and all reagents, controls and consumables to be used on these instruments. The NAICS code for this requirement is 325413 In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing and the size standard is 1,250 employees. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
