- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to EDO LLC, 5900 Venture Crossing Blvd, Panama City, FL 32409, for the acquisition of engineering services to remove and prepare MK-105 special tooling consisting of the Float Fixture (p/n F00002-1) and the Wing Fixture (p/n 54222-1-T13G). Contractor support is required to also make necessary repairs to return the production floor to the original condition where the above fixtures were connected/epoxied to the floor. This acquisition will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures with a total dollar value above micro-purchase levels, but not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000.00 per DPAP Memo 2018-O0013 dated 31 Apr 2018. Only EDO LLC has the unique capability to provide these engineering services due to their involvement in the design and manufacture of the Wing Fixture and the Float Fixture of the MK-105 system. As the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), EDO LLC is the only company with the in-house resident knowledge that can disconnect all electrical/hydraulic lines and connection points to scaffolding. Use of alternate sources may cost the Government hundreds of thousands of dollars in failed operation, damaged equipment, and duplicate testing and engineering services. Therefore, it is imperative that is purchase order is awarded to EDO LLC immediately.
