- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue new Delivery Order under Basic Ordering Agreement on other than full and open competitive basis to UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) in Vergennes, VT. This effort is for the procurement of B-kits for an Integrated Vehicle Health Monitoring Unit (IVHMU) system as well as non-recurring engineering and the support necessary to field the system. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency's requirements. UTAS is the only known source with the engineering and technical data required to perform this effort. Note: This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any capability statements received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Questions concerning subcontracting opportunities should be directed to UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) in Vergennes, VT.
