- THIS PROCUREMENT IS A 100% Women Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District (NAO) is contemplating a Firm Fixed Priced, "C" contract for Construct a Pre-Engineered Storage Shed at at Ft. AP Hill, VA. THIS PROJECT IS PLANNING FOR SEALED BID. The magnitude of construction is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. Contractors will be required to submit bonding documents prior to award. This project is to construct a new 2,422 square feet Pre-engineered building on a slab on grade at the existing site with a fenced in gravel yard. The storage building will have one roll up door, with access to a fenced in gravel yard. The facade will consist of masonry up to 9'4 with non-insulated metal panel exterior wall up to a standing seam metal roof. The building will be heated with propane wall mounted heaters and cooled through ventilation wall vents. The period of performance is 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. An organized Site Visit is scheduled for 28 August 2018 at 0900 am EST at Visitor Center Bldg 13, Fort AP Hill, VA. The following items are needed for access to the base: Driver's License (Photo ID) Vehicle Registration Proof of Insurance (NAICS) code for this procurement is 236220 which has a small business size standard of $36.5M. Proposals shall include sufficient detailed information to allow complete evaluation. Offerors are reminded that while the Government may elect to consider data obtained from other sources, the burden of proof of acceptability rests with the Offeror. The Government intends to award a single contract to the responsible Offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation, is determined fair and reasonable, and offers the best overall value to the Government as determined through an invitation for bid (IFB) process in accordance with FAR Part 9.1 procedures, Responsible Prospective Contractors. The bid due date shall be at least 30 days after the IFB is posted on the FBO website. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OFFEROR TO CONTINUALLY VIEW THE WEBSITE FOR CHANGES. PROPOSALS ARE DUE ON 21 SEP 18 at 10 a.m. EST. All prospective contractors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to contract award.
