- USACE Nashville District intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation for this requirement. This is a Pre-solicitation Notice. This Notice is being issued for planning and informational purposes only. This notice is not a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice, nor will the Government accept proposals as a result of this Notice. The plans and technical specifications for this requirement will only be available upon solicitation issuance. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District Contracting Division has a requirement from the Wolf Creek Dam to refurbish and modify the thrust bearing shoes for units 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. In as much as practicable and in conformance with these specifications, the modified thrust bearing shoes shall be identical to units 4 and 6 at Wolf Creek Powerhouse in accordance with the attached Technical Specifications and Technical Plans. Installation of thrust bearing shoes, disassembly of units, and assembly of units will be performed by the Government. The Technical Specifications and drawings will be included with the solicitation. The principle city at this location is Jamestown, Kentucky. This is a Pre-solicitation notice, the full solicitation with all drawings and specifications is expected to be issued in August 2018. USACE Nashville District anticipates performing periodic shop inspections during fabrication. It is expected that the Contractor will be required to make delivery within 350 calendar days following contract award. The delivery location is Wolf Creek Dam, 850 Carolina Lane, Counce, TN 38326. This description is not intended to be all encompassing and is subject to change. NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: The NAICS code for this project is 332991 with a size standard of 750 employees. PSC: 3110 TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: The solicitation will be 100% Small Business set-aside. TYPE OF CONTRACT: Firm-Fixed Price. BASIS FOR SELECTION OF AWARD: Award shall be made to the lowest priced vendor who is found to be responsible. The quote must meet or exceed the technical specifications and deliver schedule to be considered for award. SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE: The anticipated release date for this solicitation is on or about August 22, 2018. The Technical Specification and Drawings will be available at the time of solicitation release. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Offerors must be successfully registered in the SAM, www.sam.gov, in order to receive a Government contract award. Offerors' must have their representations and certifications available on-line in SAM or provide them with their proposal in order to receive a Government contract award. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be available in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov.
