- Description
- RFQ_19AQMM18R0409 Attachment C_Past Performance Profile Pricing Table Performance Work Statement To assess the decommissioning processes and plans for the twelve nuclear power plants located within the Great Lakes basin to identify potential opportunities to reduce the threats to the Great Lakes environment (water, air, and land). This report will assess the environmental hazards and risks that could result during and after the decommissioning process, the current regulatory regime in Canada and the United States to address the risk, and best practices used in North America and Europe. The report will be used by the WQB to develop its recommendations to the IJC regarding any additional actions that the governments could take to eliminate or reduce threats to the Great Lakes from the release of radioactive contaminants as a result of decommissioning. The work carried out will be binational, considering both the U.S. and Canadian portions of the Great Lakes basin.
