Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) to Edstrom Industries, LLC 819 Bakke Ave Waterford, WI 53185-4227 for the procurement of a brand name Watchdog Sys HP ML030G9. This order is for a brand name Watchdog Sys HP ML030G9, to be performed within 60 days of contract award, will be placed on a sole source basis with Edstrom Industries Inc as the following circumstance in FAR 13.106-1(b) applies: only one source is capable to provide the services required at the level of quality required because the Watchdog Sys HP ML030G9 is proprietary to Edstrom Industries Inc. The Research Department at the South Texas Veterans HCS currently utilizes the Watchdog System. The substitution of any other manufacturer other than brand name will not guarantee interoperability and cause duplication of cost to the Government. Delivery schedule will be discussed prior to issuing the contract award. The anticipated award date is September 21, 2018. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, that all responsible sources and interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting technical data for this requirement data within 14 calendar days of this notice posting (no later than September 13, 2018, by 08:00 AM CST, to Eddie Clark, via email at eddie.clark@va.gov which shall be considered by the agency. Please note that telephone calls will not be honored.
