Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Sources Sought Notice Obtain Audiology laboratory Supply Carts and Wire Shelving This is a Sources Sought notice and not a request for quotes. This request is solely for the purpose of conducting market research to enhance VHA s understanding of your company s offered services and capabilities. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted in response to this Source Sought Notice. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their capability and availability to provide the service requirement described below. Vendors are being invited to submit information relative to their potential to fulfill this requirement, in the form of a capability response that addresses the specific requirement identified in this Sources Sought. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking to obtain brand name or equal audioology laboratory supply carts and wire shelving for the VA Medical Center (VAMC) 200 Springs Road, Bedford MA 01730. The supplies shall be utilized in a new Audiology Clinic centered on the healing of Veterans. Refer to the General Requirements section below for the requested product description. This Sources Sought is to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. General Requirements: Brand name or equal Audiology Clinic laboratory supply carts and wire shelving are needed for the VAMC Bedford in accordance with the following requirements: Scope: The selected contractor shall be required to furnish, deliver and install units to the VAMC Bedford located at 200 Springs Road, Building 2, Bedford, MA 01730. All deliveries shall be checked in at Building 3 where drivers will be directed to the unload location. Building 2 does not have a loading dock attached to the building. Please review with warehouse staff in Building 3 prior to bringing large items into the space. The timeframe for delivery receipt shall be no later than 16 weeks following award of contract, with coordination of specific dates mutually agreed upon by the VAMC Bedford and the selected contractor. Contractor shall not ship product before October 15, 2018 without approval from VA. A date will be coordinated between the VA POC and selected contractor. Parking is not guaranteed at facility. Arrangements shall be made prior to installation. Contractor may be required to site verify prior to placing order for furniture. Plan in AutoCAD is provided as attachment A. Location: The following VA Medical Center plans on utilizing these products: VA Bedford, 200 Springs Road Bedford, MA 01730 General Information: The contractor shall provide, install and warranty the following items Based on: Metro Starsys Supply Unit (Mobile) Model: Similar to C197248 · Unit Configuration: Lower Drawer Configuration: (2) 3, (3) 6, (1) 9 ; Upper Portion (2) adjustable shelves. Unit shall have a sloped Top. · Pull color TBD · All drawers shall provide storage organization kits to sub-divide drawer interiors. · 78 high x 42.5 w x 24 d BRAND NAME OR EQUAL SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: Mobile Unit shall be freestanding Mobile Unit shall be available in single (22.75 ), double (42.5 ), and triple (62.5 ) width and 24 7/8 deep. The overall height of a tall mobile unit shall be 78.25. Shall have a sloped top option 11.75 H. The configurable interior space on a tall unit shall be 66. Short units shall have 24 -48. Both shall be configurable in 3 increments. Triple-width units shall be divided into a single & double bay or three single bays Mobile units shall have a total recommended load rating of 900 lbs. including the weight of the unit Shall have a Microban antimicrobial protection to inhibit the growth of stain and odor causing bacteria, keeping the surface area cleaner between cleanings. Color-coded drawer pulls shall be offered. Pulls come in multiple color options at least one to be a taupe color. Overall unit case shall have a Light Taupe Finish. Carts shall have 5 urethane casters with easily accessed toe brake for easy rolling. The front two casters shall have a toe brake (locking both wheel and the horn). Shall have casters 5 polyurethane casters with easily accessed toe brake for easy rolling when needed. Units must be easily changeable for all lower components. Lower storage shall provide full width and full depth storage with full extension drawer slides and all storage shall be locking. All drawers shall provide storage organization kits to sub-divide drawer interiors. Organization kits shall include both long and short dividers. Drawers shall include tote divider kits for each 3 and 6 drawers. All doors and drawers shall offer label holders to provide a clean labeling option that can be replenished. Single Procedure Cart shall offer Mechanical Key locks. Locks shall have an Ignition- Style design to protect keys from bending or breaking. Quality Assurance: The Contractor shall comply with all applicable OSHA, Federal and State laws, the Joint commission and regulations required for performing the type of services described herein. Contractor Furnished Items and Responsibilities: The Contractor shall furnish all supplies, equipment, and services required to perform work as outlined in this contract. RESPONSE COMMITMENT I.
