Intend to Award Sole Source to: Advanced Sterilization Products THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source to: Advanced Sterilization Products 33 Technology Drive Irvine, CA 92618 The objective of this sole source award is to acquire annual preventive maintenance and any subsequent repairs for Advanced Sterilization Products Sterilizers. Sole source is based on only one responsible source as Advanced Sterilization Products is the manufacturer of Advanced Sterilization Products sterilizers. Contractor has provided Manufacturer Sole Source Authorized Service Letter. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 811219; the small business size standard is $20.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 02:00PM EST on September 07, 2018 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Michael Tempero, Contract Specialist at Michael.Tempero@va.gov. The email subject line shall state, Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System, Intent to Sole Source to Advanced Sterilization Products. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
