Description
Sole Source Determination US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District intends to award a sole-source, Firm-Fixed Price contract with Teledyne Marine (Odom), Inc., 5212 Verdugo Way, Camarillo, California 93012. Description of Action : Acquisition of Teledyne Marine Odom Echotrac CV100 for USACE Portland District Hydrographic Surveys field operations. The USACE Portland District Survey Section is need of an additional Portable Dual Frequency shallow water Hydrographic Echo Sounder in splash-proof (IP-65) case. An Ethernet LAN capable unit with both High Band (100kHz to 750kHz) and Low Band (24kHz to 50kHz) frequency agile transceiver board. Supplied with Odom E-Chart (Windows compatible control & display software), a DC power cable (12 to 24VDC), two serial interface cables, an Ethernet Cross-over cable, Transit Case, and an Operation / Installation Manual (on CD). Portland District Hydrographic Survey Section currently owns five Odom CV100 sonar survey equipment. This request is to replace a CV100 damaged when the S/V Graham capsized. The system must be completely compatible with the installed hydrophone and electrical connections onboard Graham which is being refurbished. The need is to have the same equipment on every vessel so crew can easily operate and be familiar with the necessary adjustments that are required during system data collection. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
