Description
RFQ STATEMENT OF WORK/BID SCHEDULE Delivery of high-powered mode-locked 532-nm pump laser Objective: The objective is to deliver high-powered mode-locked 532-nm pump laser with specifications outlined in the sections below to the Goddard Laser for Absolute Measurement of Radiance (GLAMR) Laboratory at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. Background: The GLAMR lab uses high-powered mode-locked 532-nm pump lasers to power optical parametric oscillators to create tunable lasers that serve as light sources for calibration ground support equipment for airborne and satellite sensors operating in the solar reflective region of the electromagnetic spectrum. The pump laser needs to be stable and robust to ensure reliable operation while under schedule-critical thermal vacuum testing of these spaceflight sensors. Deliverables: The pump laser must meet the following minimum requirements: • 532-nm output wavelength • 55-W minimum optical power output • Less than 2% power stability • 75-80MHz output pulse rate • 20 +/- 5 picosecond pulse length • Mode-locked with spatial mode TEM00 • 1 milliradian or less of beam divergence • Vertically polarized output • M^2 value less than 1.2 • 1.5 +/- 0.5 mm diameter beam • 2 meter or longer pump fiber length included • Thermal chiller included - must be capable of operation with the following Paladin 532 20000 systems - OLAF1 Paladin 532 20W LDP 1229311.162873 - OLAF2 Paladin 532 20W LDP 1229311.179525 • 120 VAC 60 Hz electrical input Place of Performance: All work will be conducted off-site. SECTION 2 INSTRUCTION TO OFFERORS ☒52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items (Jan 2017) Addendum to 52.212-1 Quotes for the item(s) described in the RFQ are due by 9/6/2018 by 3 p.m. CT to Victoria Hargrave at Victoria.C.Hargrave@nasa.gov in order to be considered for award. If it is in the best interest of the Government, quotes submitted after the due date may be accepted. Quotes shall remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise expressly stated on the quote. Submitted Quotes shall list two points of contacts including name, phone number, and email address. All contractual and technical questions must be in writing (e-mail) to Victoria Hargrave at Victoria.C.Hargrave@nasa.gov no later than 9/5/2018 by 3 p.m. CT. Telephone questions shall not be accepted. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334516 This procurement is set aside for small business. Offeror's shall be registered at www.sam.gov in order to be considered for award. Delivery is FOB Destination to: NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center Building 35, Code 279 Greenbelt, Maryland 20771
