Description
This action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for Building 20676 Roof Replacement. a. The project will consist of replacing a section of roof and gutter system which is located at the northern end of the facility. 1. Replace the entire membrane system of the roof with single ply synthetic membrane Thermoplastic Olefin (TPO). Minimum thickness of the TPO will be 0.006" (60 mil) and the finish color shall be white. 2. Contractor to Adhere ½" high Density Composite Board 3. The TPO shall be fully adhered and must have a substrate to be fastened to. 4. The contractor shall provide a 20 year (no dollar limit) material warranty once the product is accepted by the government. 5. Replace the existing flashing with new 6. Redo all seals on the roof and around all penetrations and extrusion in the roof. 7. Redo all roof to wall transitions and assure a proper seal. 8. Replace the existing underlayment of the roof. 9. Contractor shall assure the existing structure of the facility is adequate to support the new roof installation. 10. Contractor shall install a new gutter system 24 ga. to provide drainage from new roof adequately to the point of discharge away from existing structure. 11. The contractor shall field verify all measurement and make notes of items that may be a problem during the construction process and provide the concerns to the government to address prior to award of a contract. 12. The contractor shall install the new roof in accordance with the KAFB roof specification developed for the IDIQ roof sustainment plan which will be provided to the contractor by DTRA. The contractor shall also assure the roof is constructed in accordance with NRCA (National roofing Contractors Association) roofing and Waterproofing Manual, as dictated by UFC 3-110-03 (rev 9-26-06), NFPA-7, and the 2012 IBC and Manufacturer's specifications. 13. The facility does not have a Lightning Protection System and is not part of this contract to provide and install. 14. There is no requirement to upgrade the roof assembly to Base CE Energy regulations. 15. Disconnect and reconnect HVAC equipment and Electrical equipment as necessary to install roofing.
