Viking EDX EMG Desktop System or Equal NAICS Code: 334510 Solicitation Number: 36C26318Q9942 Notice Type: Request for Information (RFI) This is a Request for Information (RFI) only; it is not a request for quotations or offers. 52.215-3 -- Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997) (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although proposal and offeror are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) This solicitation is issued for the purpose of: conducting market research to identify potential sources for a potential procurement of a Viking EDX EMG Desktop System or Equal as indicated below at the Omaha VA Healthcare System located at 4101 Woowlworth Ave Omaha VA, 68105. To assist interested parties, a brief/general description (not all inclusive) is provided below: The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 23, St. Cloud Healthcare System is seeking information and sources that are capable of providing all labor, parts, and materials to provide and install an Electromyography (EMG) System including software upgrades, peripherals, licensing requirements, customer training, shipping and handling. The systems will be fully installed and operational in the neurodiagnostics area of the Neurology section, Room 9305 in the EEG/EMG Laboratory Suite, Omaha VA Health Care System (NWIHCS), Omaha, NE. VIKING EDX EMG DESKTOP SYSTEM BRAND NAME OR EQUAL Windows 7 (OS) based desktop w/ MS-Office, Cart, Monitor Arm and Isobox Viking EDX base unit or comparable stimulator configuration and channel capacity (2) channel simultaneous electrical stimulators System must include base EMG software, nerve conduction study (NCS) capable, conduction producer module, report generator software, test configuration wizard, report auto-summary software and one-button PDF transfer to EMR. EMG software must include spontaneous activity, single motor unit potential analysis, maximum volitional activity, interface pattern analysis, turns and amplitudes and LivePlay. Reference Help must be included and display pictures and values. Single foot switch North American power cord kit AT2 amplifier with 2 channels including at least 2.5 m cable 19-inch minimum LCD monitor w/ speakers Ink jet printer w/ USB cable Workstation license and certified customer location training (up to 2-day) must be included. Flexible surface temperature probe The equipment must operate on 120Vac Line current The amplifier must have easy-to-access ports, use standard, non-proprietary USB and TCP/IP cables to plug into a network or computer within any clinical environment without the need to rewire existing rooms. The equipment system must include a HL-7 software interface to support data transfer to the electronic record system (EMR) on the VA network. This is a request for information and sources only, which may or may not lead to a future solicitation. This is not a request for proposal (RFP). The VA will not pay for any information received resulting from this sources sought notice. Information should be forwarded to the Contract Specialist.
