Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, is issuing this notice of intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source award under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), specifically FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items with Medivators Inc. at 14605 28th Ave N, Minneapolis, MN, 55447-4822. This requirement will be used for Preventive Maintenance and Support of Medivator Equipment for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) Engineering Department. VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System Engineering Services, is requesting single source procurement for services to provide preventive maintenance and conduct inspections of Medivator equipment. Specific tasks include: 1. Provide all labor, materials, supplies, parts, software, hardware tools, equipment, travel, to provide Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) and Intervening Services for Government Owned Sterilizers located at the VA Greater Los Angles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS). 2. Contractor shall provide services in accordance with manufacturer s specification for adjustments, calibration, cleaning, lubrication, testing, disassembly, replacement of worn or defective parts. 3. Full maintenance service shall include software updates needed for the general operation of the equipment. 4. Contractor shall provide intervening service calls, on-site preventive maintenance inspections and calibrations foe the sterilizers as determined by the original manufacturer s recommended procedures and schedule. The proposed period of performance will be from 9/25/2018 through 9/24/2019 base years with four (4) option years. The estimated value of the base year is $35,302.44. The estimated total value for the life of the contract is $176,512.20. This procurement is being conducted using commercial item procedures pursuant to FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, specifically FAR Subpart13.106-1(b)(1)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. This will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award and an anticipated award date is set for 9/25/2018. The place of performance is as follows: VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System at 11301 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90073. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 811219- Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Small Business Administration size standard for this sector is $20.5 Million. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
