- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7 located in Charleston, SC intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Spacelabs Healthcare, 5150 220th Ave SE, Issaquah, Washington, 98027. Spacelabs Healthcare will provide telemetry equipment and accessories for the Ralph H Johnson VA Medical Center. The Ralph H. Johnson VAMC, Charleston, South Carolina has a need to procure new telemetry receiver bases and associated equipment and supplies to supplement the telemetry transmitters purchased in fiscal year 2017. The telemetry system allows clinicians and staff the ability to monitor patient s heart rate, blood pressure, and other vitals using real-time arrhythmia algorithms through the use of telemetry transmitters. The telemetry receivers are required in order to use the Government owned telemetry transmitters currently in use throughout the facility. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 3:00 P.M. EST, September 14, 2018 to: michael.giffon@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
