- Description
- RFQ DD1653 DD1423 AFMC 158 FIRST ARTICLE This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract with (3) 1 year Options for C-17A AIRCRAFT (A/C) NOSE LANDING GEAR (NLG); NSN: 4920015304625BA; Part Number 17G130484-1. The Basic is for QTY of (1) each (includes first article), Test Plan (1 LO), and Test Report (1 LO). The (3) 1 year Options are based on QTY range of 1-2 each. The nose landing gear (NLG) consists of a single shock strut and associated links, braces, actuators and wheels. Steering of the a/c is provided by rotating the lower portion of the strut that supports the wheel assemblies. There are two actuating cylinder assemblies on the nose gear. The actuating cylinder assemblies are attached to each side of the nose gear steering collar and nose landing gear strut. The actuating cylinder assemblies convert hydraulic pressure for the nose wheel steering (NWS) control valve into mechanical force for steering the nose wheel. There are two swivel gland assemblies on top of the actuating cylinder. They connect hydraulic lines from the upper swivel glands to the NLG actuating cylinders. The swivel gland allows the steering actuators to move without bending or twisting the hydraulic lines. This requirement will be a set-aside for Small Business. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFQ. All responsible Small Business sources may submit a proposal to be considered by the contracting agency. The Government will utilize the Past Performance Information Retrieval System (PPIRS), Excluded Parties List System (EPLS), and other Government databases to determine contractor status before evaluating proposals. Proposal will be evaluated based on criteria stated in the RFQ. We anticipated release of the RFQ on or around September 9, 2018 with an estimated response date of October 5, 2018. The RFQ and all attachments will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage (http://www.fbo.gov/). If you have questions or concerns related to this acquisition, contact the Contracting Specialist at email Monica.Miller.3@us.af.mil; telephone 478-926-9913. All data for this weapon system is considered EXPORT CONTROLLED.
