- Description
- The VA National Brain Bank (Brain Bank) repository, located at 150 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130 at the Jamaica Plain VAMC Building 1A Boston campus, requires the purchase of an Environmental Monitoring and Alarm system (System) to monitor and report environmental conditions for rooms and freezers at the Brain Bank. The System shall be an independent and central monitoring system that can monitor temperature, power conditions, and other environmental properties. The System shall have its own network and shall be completely independent of the hospital computer network. The System shall have a data logging function that records temperature or other data at a specified interval for example the temperature of a freezer every minute. The System shall be configured to report specified conditions outside of an acceptable range (i.e. preset acceptable range such as -60C / -65C) via a phone call-out function notifying staff of an out-of-range condition that may require attention or action. The System shall be fully installed by the vendor. The vendor shall also test and calibrate all functions of the System and provide training to staff. The vendor shall work with Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) System validation.
