Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System (SLVHCS) intends to award a sole-source firm fixed price contract to Schneider Electric IT USA, Inc. for continuing support of the VAMC s Schneider Electric In Row Coolers. Schneider Electric is the manufacturer and the only authorized service provider of APC/MGE power equipment with field engineers trained in preventative and remedial maintenance of their products. Schneider Electric does not certify technicians to service equipment so outside technicians who are not adequately trained or otherwise familiar with Schneider equipment could result in risk of equipment damage or failure. This notice is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOI), proposals, or quotations and no solicitation will be issued. The government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice however contractors who disagree with this action may submit a letter of interest that demonstrates your firm s technical expertise, certifications, and authorization to compete for this acquisition to include a rationale for why you should be considered. The government reserves the right to vet/verify any documentation submitted (as described above) with the manufacturer to certify its authenticity. Any responses to this notice shall be received no later than 14 calendar days from the posting of this notice and shall be submitted via e-mail only to Rachel Babin, Contract Specialist, Rachel.babin@va.gov. Late responses shall not be accepted. No telephone inquiries will be accepted and phone calls will not be returned. All responses received will be evaluated. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement (based on the responses received to this notice) is solely within the discretion of the Government. Disclaimer and Important Notes: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in responses. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice shall ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. Responses to this notice shall not be considered a response to a solicitation. Determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government if it is determined that it is in their best interest to do so.
