Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract using DESIGN-BUILD selection procedures for a Private Patient Bed Ward at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center (VAMC). PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project will include the design and construction of a private patient bed ward that will be approximately 8,000 square feet. The addition will be connected to the existing medical center with an elevated walkway. Renovations to the existing structure will be required to attach the enclosed walkway. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about October 19, 2018. The period of performance is approximately 679 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to megan.dohm@va.gov. Telephone calls will not be accepted. -END-
