Description

Scope of Work Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, tools and equipment necessary to provide yoga therapy and stretching/strengthening training/techniques to PTSD patients. Contractor care shall cover a range of services normally provided in a similar civilian health care facility, in accordance with the specifications and requirements as defined herein, located at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, Building #1 (La Jolla), Room 2312. The Instructor will be required to teach and oversee the physical activity classes, following a manualized protocol, for a clinical trial for Veterans with PTSD. Instructors will need to assist participants in adapting the practice to best meet their individual needs. The position requires specialized training and experience with this patient population. In addition, the Instructor will also be required to: Lead yoga or stretching/strengthening classes multiple times per week Review video recordings of teacher behavior to assure class integrity Interface with study staff around data collection and participant safety Assist the doctor, overseeing the program, with further development of the VA s manual protocol. Adhere to VASDHS policies and procedures
