Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source Purchase Order using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1). The Department of Veterans Affairs, New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn Campus (800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209-7104) has a requirement for Equipment Sterilizer Units Maintenance Services involving the Sterrad 100S Sterilizer, 100NX 1-DR with Duo, and two Evotech System 208V. The purpose of the maintenance service agreement is to reduce service costs and improve equipment turn-around time and reliability. Resulting from a written solicitation, the Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order contract to Ethicon US, LLC (doing business as Advanced Sterilization Products) 33 Technology Dr., Irvine, CA 92618-2346. Award effective date will be October 1, 2018, for a period of twelve months, with three option years. The Evotech system is for high level disinfection of all the flexible endoscopes and its components. The Sterrad NS and the 100s Sterilization system allows for the sterilizations of surgical instruments that are heat sensitive and have a small channel. These items can only be serviced by Ethicon US, LLC / Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP). ASP is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Sterrad Sterilization System and the Evotech Systems which are ASP proprietary products, covered by ASP patents and other intellectual property rights. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency by emailing the Contracting Officer, Brad Mills, listed below. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
