Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, is issuing this notice of intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source award under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), specifically FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items with Xstrahl, Inc. located at 480 Brogdon Rd STE 300, Suwanee, GA. 30024-8606. This requirement will be used to establish Semi-Annual Preventive Maintenance Inspections and Service Contract for the VA Greater Long Beach Healthcare System. The VA Engineering Service requires the furnishing of all necessary parts, labor, and transportation required to repair and maintain the Government-owned Superficial Radiation Therapy System (aka Skin Cancer Therapy) Xstrahl 300. Services to be provided include Telephone Technical Support, Parts, Labor, and Preventive Maintenance. The government owned equipment that will be serviced is as follows: a) GULMAY MEDICAL ORTHO THERAPY SYSTEM, EE#12111 SN:86011-P4 b) DELL COMPUTER XSTRAHL PC MONITOR, EE#121121 SN:CN070D57426163H10MS c) DELL COMPUTER XSTRAHL THERAPY PC, EE#121120 SN:1HLG0F2 The proposed period of performance will be from 10/01/2018 through 9/30/2019 (Base year). Plus, Two (2) Option Years. Total estimated value for the Base Year is $16,309.00. The estimated value for the life of the contract is $48,927.00 This procurement is being conducted using commercial item procedures pursuant to FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, specifically FAR Subpart13.106-1(b)(1)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. This will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award and an anticipated award date is set for 10/01/2018. The place of performance is as follows: VA Long Beach HCS located at 5901 East 7th Street. Long Beach, CA. 90822. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Small Business Administration size standard for this sector is $20.5 Million. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
