Social Detoxification Services Description Solicitation Number: 36C25918Q9916 Agency: Department of Veterans Affairs Office: Network Contracting Office 19 Location: Greenwood Village, CO Notice Type: Solicitation Notice NAICS Code: 623220 - Residential Mental Health and Substance Abuse Facilities The Department of Veterans Affairs plans to award a sole source contract for services and responsibilities required of a social detoxification contract facility to provide social detoxification services and room and board to male and female Veterans. Such Veterans do not require hospital level care, but require a level of care that is provided in a community care facility. The contract will an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with multiple CLINs. The performance period is anticipated to be a twelve-month base period with 4 one-year option periods. The anticipated award date for this contract is 30 September 2018. A Justification and Approval (J&A) will be posted to explain why this requirement is determined to be a sole source requirement. The current contractor is Volunteers of America, 252 West Brooklyn Avenue, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. Phone: 801-363-9400. The Government intends to award a contract based on this announcement. Mr. Terry Whitfield, Contracting Officer, NCO 19, is the Ombudsman for this procurement and has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
