Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6, intends to enter into a sole source procurement on behalf of the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, with Biomerieux, Inc. (DUNS 086785110) for VIRTUO Automated Blood Culture Instrument Cost-per-Test agreement. The FSC code for this procurement is 6640 and the NAICS code is 325413. A Sources Sought Notice (36C24618Q9729) was posted on FedBizOpps on 8/22/2018 for instrumentation to perform automated blood culture detection for to Biomerieux VIRTUO BacT Alert instrumentation through a cost-per-test or reagent rental agreement. No responses for automated instrumentation other than from Biomerieux were received. This Notice is not a request for quotations. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Persons may identify their interest in this requirement no later than 09:00 AM EDT, September 21, 2018 to: darla.hurlock@va.gov. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is 10/1/2018.
