Description
US Army Corp of Engineers has a requirement for backfill, tamp and seed all animal burrows located on the 1.4 acre soil cover at the GSA property in Watertown, MA. The animal burrows must be backfilled in a manner that protects the integrity of the soil cover and geotextile fabric. The purpose of soil cover and geotextile fabric is to isolate the underlying PCB contaminated soils. The animal burrows are approximately 4-8-inch diameter and range in depth from 1 to 3 feet deep. There are approximately 15 animal burrows identified across the 1.4 acre soil cover. Existing excavated soil from the animal burrows shall be re-graded and seeded.
