- Description
- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is surveying the market place for potential vendors who are able to provide innovative manufactured housing solutions that could be utilized to support long-term hosing needs following the 2018 Hawai'i volcanic lava flow. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request and use of this platform for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, FEMA is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offeror to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. FEMA seeks responses to the RFI from qualified manufacturers, contractors and other vendors. Respondents are requested to submit information for all potential long-term housing options they are currently capable of providing. Manufacturers that cannot fulfill the quantities desired are invited to respond; FEMA's potential need may be fulfilled by contracts with more than one vendor. FEMA-provided THUs must be able to be installed anywhere in Hawai'i County, Hawaii. THUs may be installed private or group sites. The THUs must be aesthetically pleasing to the community, must be able to withstand extreme temperatures, high humidity and above average rainfall, and rated to withstand a category 3 hurricane. The THUs should be free from mold, asbestos, and other chemicals that may cause undue harm occupants. This following site is being used as a collection point. Failure to fully answer all the questions will automatically disqualify you for consideration. Link: https://survey.max.gov/427425 FEMA will not publicly disclose proprietary information obtained as a result of this RFI. To the full extent that it is protected by law and regulations, information identified by a respondent as Proprietary or Confidential will be kept confidential.
