Description

The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Groton, CT (SSGR) received a Sole Source justification for Amee Bay to refurbish #1 Ship Service Motor Generator (SSMG) for an SSN submarine. The refurbishment will take place and on-board the ship. The SSMG is manufactured by Northrup Grumann. The designated representative for maintenance and repair is Amee Bay. Amee Bay is authorized and approved by NAVSEA procedures for the in place refurbishment of SSMGs onboard the submarines. SSGR intends to award a Sole Source order to Amee Bay. Any offerors believing they can complete the work as required with the approved NAVSEA procedures may provide information for consideration. SSGR intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract to Amee Bay using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13).
