- Solicitation 36C24218U0075 is amended as follows: Adds language pertaining to 2019 Nation Defense Authorization Act* Adds information pertaining to prevailing wage rates Adds clause pertaining to wage rate requirements Adds clause pertaining to alternative line item proposals ADDENDUM: Awardee must be in full compliance with Section 889: Prohibition on Certain Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act of 2019 (the brand and series of cameras requested on the schedule in this RFQ are not affected by the 2019 NDAA) The following questions were received and answers provided: Q: What is the closing date/time of this solicitation A: 7:00am Monday, Sep 24, 2018 Q: Is the elevator contractor required to install the cameras in the elevators A: No, but vendor personnel must be certified to work in those areas Q: Is this job a prevailing wage job? A: Yes, see attachment Q: Do you need certified payroll documents during the job, or when it is completed? A: When completed Q: Do you know the rate for your facility? A: See wage rate attachment Q: How many hours of onsite training do you want included, for administration, and or end user? 8, 16, etc. hours. A: 8 hours Q: Will the training be done in one day, or multiple trips, based on personnel availability. A: 1 day will be fine Q: Does end user training mean train the trainer, so he can train others, or is this all on the vendor? A: Training needs to be provided for the System Administrator and to the individuals who will be using the system. Any training after that, will be VA s responsibility. Q: You state in the scope of work that all equipment racks and mounts are the responsibility of the government. In description and work section, you state the vendor will provide and install equipment racks for switches where needed. Can you please clarify these statements? A: The government will provide the racks and mounts. The vendor will be responsible for installing this equipment if needed. Q: What are the expected warrantee terms? Does this include cabling? CDW will warrant all equipment? A: 1 warranty on equipment, cable and workmanship. Q: When does the warrantee period begin? A: When project is completed. Q: Can we expect progressive payments? A: No Q: Is the vendor required to furnish a cable sweep test report? A: No Q: As discussed during the pre-bid meeting, can the vendor provide a POD placed on site to secure equipment? A: Yes Q: Can Vendor bill end user for delivery of all materials delivered and stored on site? A: Yes Q: As discussed during pre-bid meeting, the VA cannot provide information whether there is asbestos present in ceilings throughout the campus. What are the expectations should we encounter or identify possible asbestos? Who is responsible for making this determination? A: If hazardous materials are believed to be encountered, the contractor shall stop work immediately and notify the site COR. The Engineering Safety Department will make the hazardous material determination.
