Description

The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ), FL intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Teledyne Marine to construct the TLTA Test Cables. Virginia Class BDCM TLTA Test Cables have been and are currently manufactured by Teledyne Marine. Most technical development of these items was performed during the development of the Outboard Cable Improvement Programs and as such Teledyne Marine controls drawing and manufacturing procedures for the cables that do not belong to the Government. These drawings and processes are required to manufacture sub-assemblies and the full assemblies of TLTA Test Cables, therefore all procurements of TLTA Test Cables identified in reference quote R7498 should be through Teledyne DGO. Teledyne Marine representatives state that they have no other sources which can do this requirement and they are the sole source for this requirement.
