- Description
- The FAA Logistic Center (FAALC) is the Primary Inventor Control Point Activity and Servicing Agent for the Custom Border Patrol s MSC Telephonics trucks and spares at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City, OK. In order to fulfill this mission, the FAALC needs LRF spares. Telephonics originally designed the MSC-T system to include the L3 ALST (L3 Technologies Advanced Laser Systems Technology) laser range finder. This includes software integration and cabling specific to the L3 ALST connector. Currently, the only known source of the L3 ALST is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), L3 Technologies, Inc., Orlando, FL 32804. The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting proposals at this time. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor s expense. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. Interested firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov). In order to make this determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: 1. Capability Statement - This document should identify: - - Capability of providing OEM or equivalent parts / items. For equivalent items, a statement must be included attesting to the compatibility with the MSC-T. - - Number of years in business 2. Proof of SAM registration (screen shot of Entity Overview page) All responses to this market survey must be received by Tuesday, September 25, 2018, 2:00 CT (Oklahoma Time). All questions and submittals should be emailed to bill.white @faa.gov If you're viewing this announcement from a source other than Federal Aviation Administration Contract Opportunities (FAACO), visit https://faaco.faa.gov/index.cfm/announcement/view/31472 to view the original announcement.
