Description
Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify entities that have the resources and capabilities to provide onsite medical instrument maintenance, repair, testing and inspection services for the Washington DC VA Medical Center. Description of Work The services consist of calibrating, cleaning, stain removal, lubricating, adjusting, replacing parts, and maintaining the equipment, insulation electrical safety inspection (as required by instrument type). Also, refurbishment and assessment-for-replacement will include but is not limited to all specialty trays by Service (Ortho, ENT, Vascular, General Surgery, etc.) scissors, needle holders, curettes, hemostats, graspers, laparoscopic instruments, surgical knifes, etc. Technical Requirements Contractor personnel will primarily perform services onsite at the Washington DC VAMC using its own self-contained mobile repair vehicle. In instances where repairs cannot be done onsite in its mobile repair vehicle, they will be done offsite at the contractor s repair facility. The repair and service functions must be performed in conformance with ANSI-AAMI ST-79:2010 Part 7.7 (Servicing and Repairs of Devices in the Health Care Facility) and specifications used by the instrument manufacturer. Interested & Capable Responses NCO 5 is seeking responses from entities that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources and capabilities necessary to provide these services. Please respond with your: Business name, business type, socio-economic status (e.g., Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, Disadvantaged Small Business, 8(a), etc.), and person of contact (including telephone number & email address). Capability statement and summary of previous experience providing medical instrument maintenance, repair, testing and inspection services for the Veterans Health Administration or other healthcare entities. GSA contract number if your company has one and has these services available on it. Provide the contract s ultimate completion date inclusive of all remaining option periods. For the purposes of budgeting and planning, provide a ballpark cost estimate what the Washington DC VAMC could expect to pay your company to perform the work described above for 1 year. Responses must be submitted by 11:00 AM (EST) October 10, 2018.
