Description
Synopsis for FMS LM2500 PT808 Overhaul for Turkey The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract to complete the overhaul of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) LM2500 marine Paired Blade Power Turbine (PT) Assembly (NSN 2S 2835-01-032-9124) Serial Number PT808 to Air New Zealand Engineering Services, 185 Fanshawe St, Auckland 1010, New Zealand. Award of this sole source effort is anticipated in the 1st quarter Government fiscal year 2019. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Air New Zealand is the only firm capable of completing the FMS LM2500 PT808 overhaul because it disassembled and inspected PT808. Note: This action is separate from, is not included in, and does not conflict with the Sources Sought for FMS LM2500 Overhauls posted to FedBizOps.gov on 6 September 2018 under solicitation number N0002418R4154. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may respond to this synopsis with a letter of capability and interest, or proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
