J SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION - SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT-PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ON STORZ ENDOSCOPES Solicitation Number/FBO Notice: 36C24518Q9340 Agency: Department of Veterans Affairs Office: Washington, DC Medical Center Location: Washington, DC Response Date: Thursday, September 27, 2018@ 2:00 PM Set Aside: N/A Classification Code: J Maintenance, repair and rebuilding of equipment NAICS Code: 561612 Synopsis: The Dept of Veterans Affairs, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, intends to make a sole source award to a firm with the capability of providing preventive maintenance for all security equipment to include card readers, motion intrusion detectors, mag-locks, electronic door strikes, digital recorders, cabling, security panels and all other security devices critical in ensuring proper operation of the existing Pegasys 2000 security system to located at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The anticipated source is Johnson Controls, 1101 Hampton Park Blvd, Capital Heights, MD 20743. This is not a formal solicitation or request for quote. This synopsis of intent is to give notice of the Government s intent to make a sole source award. Contractors who can provide the Dept. of Veterans Affairs with the required services are invited to electronically submit an affirmative written response indicating a bona fide ability to meet this specific requirement. Specifications for this requirement are as follows: The Contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to maintain the current Pegasys 2000 system with the existing CCTV equipment at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The contractor shall also provide unlimited service and maintenance to support the Pegasys 2000 system. Responses should appear on company letterhead and include, at minimum, affirmation of active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM), your Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number, any applicable processed credentials and qualifications, and any applicable pricing data or information. All responses should include a Point of Contract (POC), telephone number, and electronic mail address (email). Additionally, respondents should indicate whether they are a large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern, women-owned small business, HUBZone, service disabled veteran-owned small business, or qualify as socially or economically disadvantaged and whether they are US or foreign owned. Responses to this notice will be used to determine the availability of this type of service. All responsible sources may respond to this synopsis and all responses will be considered by the agency.
