Sources sought notice for 70Z08019SP45030 SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE USCGC ALERT (WMEC 630) DOCKSIDE REPAIRS FY19 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ; not a pre-solicitation notice or solicitation for proposals/quotations. Pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), the purpose of this notice is to: (1) determine if sources capable of satisfying the agency's requirements exists, (2) determine if commercial items suitable to meet the agency's needs are available or could be modified to meet the agency's requirements, and (3) determine the commercial practices of company's engaged in providing the needed service or supply. Pursuant to FAR Part 6 and FAR Part 19, competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. This notice in no way obligates the Government to any further action. REQUIREMENT: This notice is issued by the U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Norfolk, VA to identify sources capable of providing the following: DOCKSIDE REPAIRS SPECIFICATION: (Subject to change at the discretion of the Government). Contractor shall provide all necessary facilities, materials, equipment, and personnel to perform DOCKSIDE repairs to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) ALERT (WMEC 630), a 210 Foot Medium Endurance Cutter. The vessel is home ported in Warrenton, Oregon. All work will be performed at the Cutters homeport. There is no geographical restriction for this cutter. SCOPE OF WORK: The scope of the acquisition is for the DOCKSIDE repairs of the USCGC ALERT(WMEC 630). This work will include, but is not limited to the following Work Items: WORK ITEM 1: TANKS (Aviation Fuel Service), Clean and Inspect WORK ITEM 2: TANKS (MP Fuel Service), Clean and Inspect WORK ITEM 3: TANKS (Potable Water), Clean and Inspect WORK ITEM 4: TANKS (MP Fuel Storage and Over Flow), Clean and Inspect WORK ITEM 5: TANKS (Dirty Oil and Waste, Clean and Inspect WORK ITEM 6: 28 Volt DC Helo Power Supply, Load Test WORK ITEM 7: Wind Speed Transmitter (Anemometer), Renew WORK ITEM 8: Vent Ducts (Engine and Motor Room All), Commercial Cleaning WORK ITEM 9: Vent Ducts (Galley and Pantry Room All), Commercial Cleaning WORK ITEM 10: Vent Ducts (Laundry Exhaust), Commercial Cleaning WORK ITEM 11: Anchor Chain (s) and Ground Tackle, Inspect and Repair WORK ITEM 12: Anchor Windlass, Overhaul WORK ITEM 13: Hawse Pipes, Preserve WORK ITEM 14: Warping Capstan, Overhaul WORK ITEM 15: Helo Talon Grids, Inspect and Test WORK ITEM 16: Tanks (Grey Water Holding), Preserve "Partial" WORK ITEM 17: Tanks (Sewage Holding), Preserve 100% WORK ITEM 18: Chain Locker Preserve 100% WORK ITEM 19: Decks, Helicopter Operating Areas, Preserve WORK ITEM 20: Ammunition Elevator, Service and Inspect WORK ITEM 21: 400 Hz Power Supply, Relocate WORK ITEM 22: Chain Locker Bulkhead Repairs WORK ITEM 23: Anchor Windlass Foundation, Repair WORK ITEM 24: Steam Kettle Piping (Galley), Renew WORK ITEM 25: Fuel Deck Riser, Renew WORK ITEM 26: Deck (Bos'n Stores), Repair WORK ITEM 27: Watertight Doors and Scuttles (External), Renew WORK ITEM 28: Foc'sle Deck Ventilator, Repair WORK ITEM 29: Boiler Feedwater Piping, Renew WORK ITEM 30: Flow Meter (Aviation Fuel), Calibrate WORK ITEM 31: Watertight Doors and Scuttles (External), Renew All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance is anticipated to be for fifty seven (57) calendar days with a start date of February 06, 2019 and end date of April 03, 2019. (Subject to change at the discretion of the Government) ANTICIPATED NAICS CODE/SIZE STANDARD: The applicable NAICS Code is 336611, Ship Building and Repairing and the size standard is 1,250 employees.
