Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ), in support of U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is currently seeking sources capable of providing a high speed networked computer cluster to support research in advanced technologies for small, medium and large caliber armament systems in support of our national defense. The high speed networked computer cluster should meet the following specifications: 1) The basic cluster hardware components shall include a Head Node for task submission to the cluster, a dedicated Login Node for user authentication, Compute Nodes for processing, interconnected RAID-6 SAN Storage, a high speed Management Network interface for user connectivity, and an InfiniBand EDR network for high speed, low latency connection of Compute Nodes. Based on the importance of the ARDEC mission, responders should also provide information on hardware/software maintenance and response time options, and the ability to support these sustainment requirements in a SECRET environment. 2) Operation of the cluster configuration will require additional software and specialty tools required for a turn-key cluster to run parallelized calculations. This would minimally include system management software, compilers, libraries, and job schedulers. Interested parties shall submit a brief capability statement demonstrating their capabilities with meeting the specifications outlined in this notice. Standard corporate brochures are not desired. The capability statement should include the following: company name, address, telephone number, email address, technical point of contract, DUNS number, Cage Code and company size (please specify as either a Large Business, Foreign-Owned Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a) concern, Woman-Owned Small Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone concern, Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business), and technical description of the ability to meet the requirement.
