- Notice of Intent to Exercise Option The 60 th Contracting Squadron at Travis Air Force Base, CA intend to exercise option year 3 on contract with Terumo Cardiovascular Systems Corp 6200 Jackson Rd Ann Arbor, MI 48103-9586, for maintenance services under contract FA4427-16-P-1006. The authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by only one source reasonably available is in accordance with FAR 13.106(b) Soliciting from a single source. It is in the best interest of the government to exercise the option period. The exercise of the option is the most advantageous method of fulfilling the Government's need, price and other factors considered. a. There is no substantive change in the requirement. The potential cost of disrupting operations outweighs any potential cost savings by resoliciting the requirement. The Government would incur substantial costs if operations were disrupted. b. The option price is in line with the prices found in the market. The base contract was a single source requirement acquired in accordance with FAR Part 13 and the Government would not be able to re-solicit to obtain more competitive prices from other offerors. It is anticipated that the best price available is the option price and that this is the more advantageous option. In addition, as this was a single source requirement it would not be able to be resolicited to provide consideration from small business. This is a notice of the intent to exercise a sole source contract option. It is published for informational purposes only and not as a request for competitive quotations. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. No responses to the notice of intent are anticipated, however, all quotations/responses received within one (1) days of the issuance of this notice will be reviewed by the government. All questions/comments or any quotation/responses regarding this notice shall be addressed in writing via email and received no later than 1:00 P.M. local time, 29 September 2018 to the below individuals.
