- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7 located in Charleston, SC intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Ronco Specialized Systems, Inc., 595 Sheridan Drive, Tonawanda, NY 14150-7850. Ronco Specialized Systems, Inc. will furnish all labor, material, equipment and transportation necessary to complete the VOCERA Nurse Call System Integration for the Rauland-Borg Responder 5 at the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209-1638. This requirement will be sole sourced due to the fact that Ronco Specialized Systems, Inc. is the only authorized distributor of the Rauland-Borg Responder 5 Nurse Call System for the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center. The Responder 5 Nurse Call System is not compatible with any other (non-Rauland) Nurse Call Systems; therefore proprietary in nature. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 334290 Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 750 Employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 3:00 P.M. EST, October 1, 2018 to: steven.bentley@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
