- Notice of Intent THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD CONTRACT TO CANON. INC FOR CANON CAMCORDER KITS. HQ051618C0020 This is a Notice of Intent to issue a firm-fixed-price contract for a one year Canon Camcorder Kits. 1. The camcorder accessories in this request are needed to replace beyond lifecycle items currently in use at eight different Air Force Public Affairs units, located throughout the U.S. This equipment will be used on a daily basis to create imagery products that will be used internally as well as externally for productions to include training materials, public interest items, and official communications and presentations. Commercially Off the Shelf (COTS) as defined by FAR, Subpart 2.1. This Procurement is for 19 kits; 7 kits will be procured using funding document F1AF2G7324GW01/ HQ002881071787 and 12 kits will be procured using funding document F1AF2G6119GW01/ HQ002880521676. Each kit shall be configured and include items as listed below. Quantity Unit Unit Price Amount 19 Kits 10,772.99 204,686.81 This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement via email in Microsoft Word format with a file size less than 5MB to LT Darin Hess, Contract Specialist, via email: darin.j.hess.mil@mail.mil, Subject Line: Response to HQ051618C0020 ; phone: (301)-222-6034 no later than 2:00 pm Atlantic, 30 Sept, 2018. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the item required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's bona fide capability to provide this service. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. The Government reserves the right to cancel the Sole Source Award. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334310 - and the small business size standard is 1,250 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
