PARTS LIST - PLEASE VALIDATE OR CORRECT PART NUMBERS IF NECESSARY. RFI QUESTIONS This Request for Information (RFI) issued by the United States Coast Guard is for information and planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation for proposals, and no contract shall be awarded from this summary. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this summary or any follow-up information requests. Responses to this RFI must be received no later than 16 October 2018 at 11:00 am ET. Responses to this RFI shall be emailed to the following email address: michelle.k.larosa@uscg.mil. Please direct any questions regarding the posting of this RFI to the attention of Michelle LaRosa at michelle.k.larosa@uscg.mil. To assist the Government with tracking responses, please reference RFI No. 70Z04019Q56700B00 in the subject line. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Purpose The US Coast Guard is planning an MTU Series 60 Overhaul Contract that will include a separate Contract Line Item for onboard Technical Representative Services. The purpose of this RFI is to receive feedback on OEM MTU Technical Representative Services for onsite engine troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, calibrating and programming of various systems and components of the Series 60 engine installed on the US Coast Guard's 45' RBM boat throughout the continental United States and outside the continental United States including Puerto Rico and Guam. It is requested that the attached Mandatory and Contingent Parts list is reviewed to validate part numbers. Please respond to any obsolete or incorrect part information. It is requested that answers be provided for the following questions: 1. Can you provide certification as an authorized MTU Distributor or Dealer? 2. Can your company provide OEM Technical Representative Services to all USCG 45' RBM vessels throughout the the continental United States and outside the continental United States including Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and Guam? 3. If answering yes to question number 2; will your company provide these services using your own company employees to perform the work or would it be sub-contracted to the local OEM MTU distributor? 4. Can your company provide onsite Tech Rep Services within 36 hours of USCG notification? 5. What are the daily hours of operation for your company? 6. Can your company provide crane service as needed for removal of the S60 engine and/or various parts & components? Can your company provide all parts to perform onsite repairs to the Series 60 engine on an as needed basis?
