- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 15 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Techniplast USA Inc. Techniplast will provide Preventative Maintenance on the Tecniplast individual Ventilation Housing (Cage) system and the Tecniplast Universal Presentation Rack Washer. Tecniplast equipment is designed, engineered and manufactured in Italy utilizing proprietary parts and software. Tecniplast equipment requires specialized software diagnostic and calibration tools. This will be a firm-fixed price contract with a base and four (4) option years. The place of performance is the Kansas City VA Medical Center. The Kansas City VAMC is located at 4801 Linwood Blvd, Kansas City MO 64128. The NAICS code is 811219 Other Electronic Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. with a size standard of $20.5 Mil. The solicitation number is 36C25519Q0009 This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NLT October 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM CST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement 36C25519Q0009, Notice of Intent. If after 30 October 2018, no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Department of Veterans Affairs shall negotiate solely with Tecniplast USA This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes.
