Description
The Contractor shall provide refuse collection, disposal and recycling services to ensure refuse and recyclables are properly collected and disposed. The Contractor shall recycle to the greatest extent possible. At the Governments option, containers other than designated solid waste containers may be emptied at a site designated by the KO when it appears that the contents of the container contain solid waste . Contractor shall collect Sandblast Grit / Silica Sand and Mixed Metal containers listed on Maps and Locations J-1503030-04 and empty into Common Output Level Standards requirements, e.g., Common Output Level Standards (COLS) are defined by Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) for Navy Shore Commands. Services for Integrated Solid Waste Management are specified for the Base Measures of COL3 and COL4 along with one level of Additional Measures for COL3 as shown in J-1503050-03. The Contractor shall provide services based on the awarded CLINs (for the selected COL level) listed in Section B. Site maps of Portsmouth are located in J-1503030-04 All waste shall be containerized and transported directly to an Off Yard facility for final disposition. Any segregation, wood waste handling or storage of waste shall be at an Off Yard facility. The Contractor shall recycle to the greatest extent possible. At the Governments option, containers other than designated solid waste containers may be emptied at a site designated by the KO when it appears that the contents of the container contain solid waste . Contractor shall collect Sandblast Grit / Silica Sand and Mixed Metal containers listed on Maps and Locations J-1503030-04 and empty into designated Roll-off containers and return to designated location per COR. During the contract term, special events will be held in various areas. Additional containers and pickups may be ordered under the Non Recurring Work portion of the contract. Inaccessible Containers All reasonable attempts shall be made by the Contractor to make collections as scheduled. Should access to container be obstructed, such as by a parked vehicle or by a snow pile, the Contractor shall notify the Government Representative immediately. If access to the container is made available prior to the final scheduled pickup of the day, the collection shall be made at no additional cost to the Government. Should access to the container not be made prior to the final pickup of the day, through no fault of the Contractor, the Contractor will not be held liable for non-performance of services. However, the Contractor shall be required to empty the container the first working day that collections are scheduled in the area, on which that container is accessible, at no additional cost to the Government.
